"In 2018, the US Hemophilia Treatment Center Network (HTC) launched the second national Patient Satisfaction Survey. Over 4700 patients/caregivers from nearly 128 (92%) of all HTCs across the country participated. Patient satisfaction with HTCs was extremely high: 96% were “always” or “usually” satisfied with overall HTC care. Over 85% were “always” or “usually” satisfied with the HTC core team members:  hematologist, nurse or nurse practitioner, social worker, or physical therapist. Between 93% - 98% were ‘always’ or ‘usually’ satisfied with HTC services and care processes: being treated respectfully (98%); spending enough time with staff (97%); obtaining understandable information (97%); being involved in decision making (97%); getting timely services (95%); ease of contacting the HTC (95%); and care coordination (93%).  96% indicated they were ‘always’ or ‘usually’ satisfied with their HTC Pharmacy (340B) Factor Program. CDC studies indicate that men with hemophilia who obtain care at an HTC have lower mortality, morbidity and costs compared to men obtaining hemophilia care elsewhere.

Results were presented as a poster at the National Hemophilia Foundation’s (NHF) 70th Annual Bleeding Disorders Conference and the American Thrombosis and Hemostasis Data Summit in October 2018.  Questions? HTCSurvey@ucdenver.edu. The 2018 poster and articles from the 2015 survey are available online. Read More... "

Friends & family,

Your HTCNV team is proud to announce that we'll be posting more news on a regular basis to keep you updated on what's going on with our clinic, our local NHF chapter, & the country at large when it comes to bleeding & clotting disorders.

NHF Events

The Annual Family Conference & Holiday Celebration in Las Vegas, Holiday Gathering in Elko, & Holiday Gathering in Reno are all coming up! Please visit the Nevada NHF chapter's event page for more details!

Adopt-a-Family Program

Last year, given the grand opening of our clinic, we were unable to do our annual Adopt-a-Family Program to its full extent. Instead, we were able to scrounge together resources to have a holiday gift lottery, in which some families (who had requested to be on the Adopt-a-Family list) were randomly selected to receive gift cards.

Currently, we are still working out to see what we'll be able to provide this year. Nonetheless, we want to let everyone know that if you're interested in entering your family to be Adopted, e-mail Johnson.Shao@htcnv.org right away. As a reminder, if your family was selected for gifts last year, you are not eligible to be selected this year.

As of now, every person will be wait listed. We'll keep you all posted as we find out more.

We are happy to announce that the Hemostasis & Thrombosis Center of Nevada is officially open for business and scheduling patients. Here are frequently asked questions we've been getting:

Where are the HTCNV offices and what time are they open?

We are currently renting out office space with Las Vegas Cancer Centers at two locations:

6450 Medical Center Dr, Las Vegas NV 89148 (Sunset & Fort Apache)

Hours: Mon & Thu, 1p-5p | Fri, 8a-5p

2904 W. Horizon Pkwy, Ste. 200, Las Vegas NV 89052 (Coronado Center Dr. & Horizon Ridge Pwky)

Hours: Tue, 1p-5p | Wed, 8a-5p

During our hours of operation, we will have a sign posted to help direct you.

What services are available?

Starting November 1st, we are scheduling patients to establish care. This visit will count as your annual comprehensive visit. For questions about your prescription needs, please call us and we will work with you directly.

Our contracted services (e.g. assistance with dental care) will be covered by revenue made from our participation in the 340B drug discount program. While we are the only registered 340B entity for hemophilia patients in Nevada, we won't be able to service patients using our 340B program until April 1st, 2018.

Will the HTCNV be able to take my insurance?

While we obtain credentialing with different insurance companies and our billing system is in development, we will see patients free of charge.

For inquiry or to make an appointment with us, call us at 702-960-5991.
